About the TUM Trust Center

E.U. Regulation 910/2014, also known as the eIDAS Regulation (Electronic Identification, Authentication, and Trust Services), has been a cornerstone of Europe’s digital strategy since its adoption. In effect in Germany since 2016, eIDAS establishes a legal framework for electronic identification and trust services, aiming to foster digitization, enhance cross-border interoperability, and ensure secure electronic transactions across the European Union.

At the Technical University of Munich, eIDAS trust services are leveraged to streamline administrative processes and bolster security using state-of-the-art technology. Services such as electronic signatures, seals, time-stamping, and validation play a vital role in optimizing workflows and enabling seamless digital interactions.
